Week 2 - Post-Execution
[It's been a very long, rough day. Despite her begging and her outbursts, a woman had died and two more were in... "stasis".]
[She's too restless to go back to her room just yet, but she's also too dazed to pay much attention to where she's going.]
[And bumps right into Frankenstein]
Oh-- I'm sorry.
[She's too restless to go back to her room just yet, but she's also too dazed to pay much attention to where she's going.]
[And bumps right into Frankenstein]
Oh-- I'm sorry.

Frankenstein immediately reaches out to steady her so she doesn't stumble, his expression showing a mix of concern and care.]
It's nothing.
Are you sure you should be wandering about right now, Marinette?
no subject
I was just trying to collect my thoughts, I didn't mean to wander....
But I'm glad I ran into you.

[He was almost certain she'd be cross with him after his lecturing...]

[She let her feelings get the best of her, as Tikki would say.] I think I made things worse.

... It wasn't your intention to do so, and those intentions cannot be neglected.
Though in the future I do hope for more thought to go into your actions.

[well]
[AN ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE]
... Thank you. It's been a lot to take in.

[So he'll just go back one more step:]
How are you feeling? Would you like anything? Tea? Hot chocolate?
no subject
Oh-- no, monsieur, I'm not thirsty, thank you.
[and then it clicks that he's concerned about her. She is really scared -- but as Ladybug, she shouldn't be letting that show too much. Still, she's just a fifteen year old kid in the end, so:]
I hate feeling trapped like this. I... can't think of any loopholes... and if we talk back to that AI, she'll punish us. It's really frustrating.
no subject
ok no he's totally doting.
But he's doting in a way that he dotes on everyone - his age really shows during times like this. For the people that he appreciates, he doesn't like to see them in difficult situations.]
I understand your frustration. It's difficult to deal with the powers at work here - but I do commend your attempts to fight back.
I just hope you'll be more careful about them in the future.

[If she could think of a plan, that would be great, but so far, all she's ended up with are dead ends]
I'll do my best. I can't really stand by idly while people are dying. [and there needs to be a middleground]
What do you think we should do, monsieur Frankenstein?
no subject
It's hard to say right now.
However I do believe that you're right to want to fight against the current system. I only ask that you don't do so again in such a straightforward way when our AI has proven that she isn't against taking petty action against those on board this ship who speak out.

But we have to find a way to unite everyone. Surely, if we expend our energy on finding the ones responsible, instead of playing by their whims....
[She doesn't exactly have a plan, though]
